Welcome to McGinty Law

At McGinty Law we believe the best thing we can do for our clients is to solve their problems as quickly, effectively and inexpensively as possible. But we also believe that our willingness to litigate and our success in litigation are very important factors in the negotiation process and play a large role in the results.

We are a small, powerful and focused firm of five lawyers located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia. We focus on all aspects of family law, including separation, divorce, matrimonial property division, custody, child support, spousal support, child protection, adoption and cohabitation and marriage contracts.  But our experience is by no means limited to family law.  We also practice real estate law, wills and estates, elder law, and civil litigation including personal injury.  This diversity of experience helps us better understand our clients and their legal needs.
